Wet & Wild Wonderland
Hey,
I woke up early this morning having had the strangest dream - that it was raining? But I know it doesn't rain in Texas - not in the summer. But sure enough - I looked out the window and there it was - rain.
In our search for the modern midway - we're parked in the middle of the strip where all the bars and clubs are - now I know that when it waters from the sky - that means I get to go to the bar - I don't know how the weather will affect our street traffic tonight.
I do know that my quality of life is improving - I wired in the stove a couple days ago and yesterday bought groceries! Yes - I've eaten out each and every meal since I got here - with 7-11 being a main staple in my diet. Last night I did laundry at Bar of Soap - where I can do laundry and play pinball or air hockey while drinking beer! Today I bought sheets for my air mattress and went to the gym. Now I discovered this gym a week ago and was instantly amazed at how nice it was - clean and nice - everyone is in great shape and is really friendly - there's a great steam room, big jacuzzi, and here's the clincher - a rooftop outdoor pool! Oh yeah, I've been there as much as possible - but little clues have been making me wonder. First I notice that while everyone is in great shape and friendly - there aren't any pretty girls - actually - almost no girls at all. I see lots of Speedo's out on the pool deck, and I saw big macho men holding hands in the weight room - but today was the big one. In the shower room I heard some strange sounds coming from another stall and at a glance thought I saw two pairs of feet under the curtain - but no - the other pair of feet was actually two giant dildoes - common shower fare - soap, shampoo, face wash, giant dildoes. Yes, I've been going to the gay bath house gym. But the rooftop pool is way too good to give up.
Life at the loft is great - and it looks like we're going to be shooting the pilot for a reality show during this run. Real World Sideshow. I think it sounds like a blast and I've been saying it for years - so it's great to see it happening - but egads - what will happen when the world sees what we're really like?

Five of us are competing for a job in the Big Apple Circus - and you know they always make someone on the show out to be an asshole - and if you look around and no one else is... well it's you. So it'll be interesting to see how they cut it together - but it was a lot of fun to play circus for a couple days.
Nhow it's back to playing sideshow - I'm off to push water out of the corners of the big top - ahh yes the glamour - but I wouldn't have it any other way.
