Old Port New Port
Hey Kids,
We're having a blast in Portland, ME - thanks to lax enforcement of the traffic laws - we made it up here in about 6 hours from NYC - and thank goodness - as we've never had the van so loaded. Danyella de Meaux flew out from LA to join us for this run and we shipped her Tesla coil over from the Moulin Rouge in Paris - so those road cases are in the van - all my gear, the baby show with all the babies in jars, display cabinet, banners, sound system, two cases of merch, chainsaw, watermelons, cinderblocks, bed of nails, and on and on, plus Magic Brian and Caution Mike who's coming along to video the shows up here - coming soon for the website. So we were loaded - packed to the ceiling.
After a long and laborious load in - we were all beat so we're chilling out in the hotel when the call comes in that not only are our buddies from the motorcycle convention partying downstairs in the hotel bar - but there's a swingers party happening there. Who needs sleep anyway?
The next morning we head over the the arena - the sun is shining down from a cloudless sky and the bikers are out in force. There's a line of people wrapped around the building waiting for the doors to open it was awesome. We did four shows and for the last show of the day - we broke out the new act we've been dreaming on - but have never attempted. The new finale has been born out of A Watermelon - A Chainsaw - A Bed of Nails, and A Sledgehammer. Sweet and juicey with melon juice and gasoline - it was a blast - and we're off to do it all over again.

It was a pleasure to meet you all in Portland this past weekend. We had a blast w/Danyell in the Alehouse kitchen! I hope to see you again in our neck of the woods sometime soon...and if you ever need a heavy metal sound man...
